South Tamenend Trail System Construction

New Britain Borough Residents,

Construction is scheduled to begin on the South Tamenend Trail

system later this week. This will link pedestrian access from the north side of

Butler Avenue to the train station. The roadway will have one lane closed and

will be entirely closed for safety purposes during certain periods while the

contractor is working close to the road. It would be helpful if this area of

roadway is avoided during this period if possible. Construction is expected to

be completed by the end of October.
