SNOW REMOVAL SERVICES
Two (2) YEAR – CONTRACT SEASON 2024 – 2026
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the 2024 – 2026 snow removal season, Snow Removal Services Contract will be received until 10:00 AM, prevailing time on September 6, 2024, at which time they will be publicly opened and read at the New Britain Borough Municipal Building (45 Keeley Avenue, New Britain, PA 18901). Bids will be considered and may be approved by the Council on September 11, 2024, at Burkart Hall, 56 Keeley Avenue, New Britain Borough at 7:30 PM, at the public meeting.
Bid packages may be obtained at the Office of the Borough Manager, 45 Keeley Avenue, New Britain, PA 18901, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
All proposals must be sealed and addressed to the Borough Manager at the above address marked “Snow Removal Services Contract 2024 – 2026” on the outside of the envelope. Delivery of all proposals to the Borough Office shall be the sole responsibility of the bidder. Questions regarding the specifications should be directed to the Borough Manger, John Wolff.
The successful bidder shall take affirmative action to ensure that applicants for employment and employees or agents are treated without discrimination based upon race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, sex, or disability.
The Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding as permitted by law.

New Britain Borough has a Zoning Ordinance for Temporary Signage (including Political signs)
§450-44 H. (2)
Political campaign sign. A sign advertising a political party or a candidate for election may be displayed, provided that the size of any such sign is not in excess of four-square feet and provided that they are displayed by the owner or lessee of the lot or by the candidate or political party or other authorized agent of them with the permission of the lot owner or lessee.
All such signs shall be erected or displayed no more than 30 days prior to an election and must be removed within 20 days after the date of the election to which such signs relate.
If such signs are not removed at the end of 20 days following the election, the Borough shall have them removed and may recover the cost of removal from the individual who placed the signs.
No sign shall be placed within or on any sidewalk, or parking lot, nor shall the placement of any sign limit sight distances along any roadway or driveway.
Any sign located in violation of this section, or which interferes with Borough operations will be removed and the person, persons or entity responsible for such sign will be subject to the penalties prescribed in § 450-76 of Article XI Enforcement, hereafter.

New Britain Borough has been made aware that there is a scam happing in our Borough through another entity that claims they are Waste Management.
They are stating that you need to update your credit card information on your account and to call a certain number. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK! Your Garbage is paid through your taxes so there is no need for them to gather your credit card information!
