New Britain Borough Website Receives Statewide Award

New Britain Borough has won First Place in the 2016 Borough News Annual Municipal Website Contest.

Boroughs across the state were eligible to apply for the award based on the content, style and structure of their websites.

This award is a follow up to the 2014 Second Place Award the Borough received from the Borough News for its Newsletter.

The Borough does not plan to rest on its laurels, and wants to continue to provide high value communications to its residents.  If you have suggestions for us, please feel free to contact us!

Draft Butler Ave “Main St” Plan Available to View

A copy of the Butler Ave “Main St” Plan presentation is now available to view.

This report was prepared by the Bucks County Planning Commission with input from the Planning Commission and Community and Business Committee.  DVRPC provided financial support for the project.

Next steps will involved public review, including discussion of the plan at a future Borough Council meeting.

New Britain Bird Town Wins Award from Audubon PA

The New Britain Borough Bird Town Committee was the recipient of the 2015 Bird Habitat Award.  The award is given to the organization that has the most residents sign up to participate in the Backyard Habitat Program.

  • Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express (convenience fee will apply, see below)
  • Electronic Check Payments (convenience fee will apply, see below)

Credit Card Payments Made in Office or via Telephone

New Britain Borough offers the convenience of accepting MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Visa credit cards for Permit Fees & Summer Camp Registration. The payment processing company charges a convenience fee of 2.45% or $3.00 minimum to cardholders who use this service. Just stop by our office or give us a call at 215-348-4586 to use your MasterCard, Discover Card,  American Express or Visa.

Gilmore and Associates Creates 3D Model of Overlay District

At the February 2016 Planning Commission meeting, Gilmore and Associates presented a 3D Model of the types of structures the proposed Mixed Use Overlay would allow for.  The Borough would like to thank Gilmore and Associates for their work on this project, which was done free of charge.  Please note this model only shows theoretical uses and does not predict actual future changes to the properties shown.

This Ordinance is currently being discussed for formal review and is scheduled to be advertised for the next meeting of the Planning Commission, which will be Tuesday, March 15th at 7:30PM in Burkart Hall.  For more information about the Planning Commission and its meetings, please click the link below:
