A message on behalf of Chalfont Fire Company:
COVID-19, the subsequent quarantine, and new safe occupancy
guidelines forced the Chalfont Fire Company to cancel ALL of their fundraisers in 2020. Sadly, there were no Turkey Hoagie sales, Buffet Breakfasts, Chicken BBQ’s, or any other fun events to be
had this year.
However, there is one final event of 2020 that his pandemic will NOT affect … and that is our ANNUAL COMMUNITY SANTA RIDE & FOOD DRIVE!
More to come, but we are targeting Saturday, December 19th, 2020 as the date with Sunday the 20th as our rain/snow. The schedule will be published shortly.
Due to continued COVID-19 safety guidelines, though, the 2020 Santa Ride will be a bit different than year’s past:
• All CCFC personnel will be wearing masks and gloves at all times while inside and outside of the firetrucks
• Santa will not be leaving the fire apparatus at any time during the drive
• Santa’s elves will still be handing out individually wrapped candy canes
• Photo ops with Santa will still be available … but only at a safe distance from the firetruck
• The elves and other helpers will still be collecting non-perishable foods and other necessities to benefit the New Britain Food Larder at the New Britain Baptist Church.
This year has been challenging for many so please help us make this the BEST YEAR YET! Some traditions cannot and will not be broken. This is one of them! Stay tuned as more details are forthcoming over the next few days!
