Bucks County is holding Hazardous Waste Events

The collections are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, on the following dates:

  • April 5 at Bucks County Community College’s Newtown Township Campus.
  • May 31 at Upper Bucks Area Vocational Technical School.
  • June 28 at Central Bucks South High School in Warrington Township.
  • Aug. 9 at Bucks County Technical School in Bristol Township.
  • Oct. 25 at Strayer Middle School in Quakertown.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Zoning Hearing Board of New Britain Borough
will hold a hearing on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Burkart Hall, 56 Keeley
Avenue, New Britain, Pennsylvania, to hear the application of:

44 Industrial Capital LLC, which requests variances from Sections 450-24.C and
42.G(2) of the New Britain Borough Zoning Ordinance to permit a commercial sports facility
use (pickleball), a use not permitted, and to provide less than the required parking on the
property located at 44 Industrial Drive (Parcel No. 25-2-207) in the I – Industrial Zoning District
of the Borough.

The Board will also consider any other business that comes before it in due course. All
interested parties may attend this hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard.

Board of New Britain Borough has cancelled the hearing scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Burkhart Hall, 56 Keeley Avenue, relative to the application of:

Property: 44 Industrial Drive
(Tax Parcel No. 25-2-207).

This hearing was cancelled and is currently rescheduled for Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. New legal notices and advertisements will be published prior to that date.

NOTICE OF COURT HEARING ON TAX MILLAGE – BOROUGH OF NEW BRITAIN

TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE BOROUGH OF NEW BRITAIN:

 

The Borough of New Britain hereby provides notice that the Court of Common Pleas of Bucks County has scheduled a hearing on the petition of the Borough of New Britain to exceed the maximum tax levy of 30 mills for general borough purposes for fiscal year 2025, in the amount of 35 mills.  This millage was reflected in the fiscal year 2025 Budget and Tax Ordinance already approved by Borough Council following required public notice.  Court approval is required to exceed 30 mills for general borough purposes.

 

The date of the hearing is January 31, 2025.  The hearing is scheduled for 9:30 AM in Courtroom No. 350 of the Bucks County Justice Center, 100 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.  As hearing dates/times are subject to change at the discretion of the Court, the Borough will provide updates should the hearing date/time be changed.  It is possible that additional advertisement in the newspaper will not be possible due to the timing, so please check the Borough’s website at https://www.newbritainboro.com or call the Borough Administration office by calling 215-345-4586 for updates.  The Court’s docket no. for this matter is 2024-08088.  The petition can be reviewed at the Borough Administration office at 45 Keeley Avenue, New Britain, PA 18901 during regular business hours, or may be obtained on the Borough’s website, identified above.
