The Mayor of New Britain Borough has declared a snow emergency from Sunday, January 31st at 6:00PM to Tuesday, February 2nd at 8:00PM. Vehicles are not to be parked on the side of the road at this time to allow for snow plowing. The Borough Offices will be physically closed on Monday, February 1st, but Borough staff will be returning calls and answering emails.

The New Britain Civic Association (owner and operator of Covered Bridge Park) has hired Gilmore and Associates to do a Master Park Plan that also includes Orchard Park (owned and operated by the Borough).

This Master Park Plan will be very important to the future planning and operation of both parks, including future improvements and renovations, so please share your opinion!  It is greatly appreciated.
