Meeting Time
The Zoning Hearing Board meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM in Burkart Hall at 56 Keeley Avenue on an as-needed basis.

The board is a judicial body composed of five voting members and two alternates, all appointed by Borough Council, and legal counsel. Its hearings are open to the public and the proceedings are similar to any judicial court. The Board’s main function is to hear cases appealed from decision of the zoning officer. The board may uphold the zoning officer’s decision or may allow a variance or special exception regarding the case in question. A fee is required from the applicant to request such a hearing. Adjoining property owners are formally notified of the hearing and all Borough residents are welcome to attend and express their thoughts on the subject at hand.
