Meeting Time
The Human Relations Commission meets the first Tuesday of each month (as needed) at 7:30PM in Burkart Hall located at 56 Keeley Avenue.
Purpose
The Human Relations Commission was established to promote and ensure equality and equal protection of the law and to address discrimination and discriminatory practices within the Borough.
Responsibilities
- Promote diversity and inclusion within the Borough.
- Provide public education and serve as a community resource regarding diversity, anti-discrimination, and equality of opportunity in all aspects of the common welfare of New Britain Borough.
- Process complaints of discriminatory acts or practices under the Borough’s Human Relations Ordinance.
Membership
The Human Relations Commission shall be comprised of five (5) members who must be Borough residents or owners of businesses in the Borough. No members of Borough Council may serve on this commission,
