Bike and Hike
New Britain Borough contains and is near several bike/hike trails. Below is a list of trails in or adjacent to the Borough:
- Destination Peace Valley Trail
This paved trail begins at Covered Bridge Park, continues through the Pine Run Reservoir and ultimately to Doylestown.
- Neshaminy Greenway Trail
The Neshaminy Greenway Trail is 1.42 miles long paved trail and connects from the New Britain (SEPTA) Train Station along Almshouse Road along through Beulah Cemetery across Upper State Road through the Chalfont New Britain Sewer Treatment Plant Property and along the Neshaminy Creek to the 202 Parkway Trail. From its intersection with the 202 Parkway Trail a bike/hiker can go east to Central Park or West to Montgomeryville.
- 202 Parkway Trail
This 8.4-mile paved trail follows the 202 Parkway and connects the towns of Montgomery, Warrington, and Doylestown. It is easily accessed from New Britain Borough using the Neshaminy Greenway Trail.
- Wilma Quinlan Nature Preserve (walking only)
There are several unpaved walking paths within the Borough’s Wilma Quinlan Nature Preserve, located on Mathews Avenue.
